Sapa has many attractions and attractions but the most impressive is the terraced fields. "Traveling to Sapa to see terraced fields", which is the reason for many visitors. Sapa terraces are considered as unique tourist products, which make up the "name", the brand for Sapa tourism. And thanks to these plots, the Travel and Leisure Magazine (USA) has voted as one of the seven wonders of Asia and the world. Visitors to Sapa more and more thanks to the attraction of these wonderful fields.

If you have the opportunity to join Vietnam Sapa tours, you will see firsthand the floor of the small plot of land, lying around, intercrossed hills and mountains. You will have to "wonder" for the picturesque beauty of these terraced fields. They are like the steps up to the sky, between forests, mountains and hills northwest. Especially, these ladders change color very delicate and beautiful in each period of development of rice. At times, it is the green ladder rung of the girls, sometimes turning to pale yellow green when the rice is about to flow and also when it turns yellow, was harvested. These "terraced rice terraces" have created so many emotions for tourists, photographers, painters and writers, poets ... Beautiful paintings in the Northwest highlands are sharp morphs, shapes and emotions of the viewer in each work. A lot of visitors stay in their beautiful moments in these colorful, winding terraced fields.

I swear this boy of mine amazes me every single day

I swear this boy of mine amazes me every single day. But his building skills when it comes to his Legos blows me away. This police department, which has a main office, a booking jail cells, cubicle office's for his police officers, a bathroom, AND even a ATM.. This boy built this ALL by his self!!! This didn't come with directions, this didn't even come in a box, other than what he envisioned in his mind.. All I can say is WOW!! Enjoy asos 20 off

Oh, my heart breaks for this poor photographer

Oh, my heart breaks for this poor photographer. I guess I'm weird in that I don't find this funny at all. If I was him (I think it's a him from his voice), I would go get drunk after tearing down my equipment.

I think this is an excellent point:, The difference matters

I think this is an excellent point:
The difference matters. Moore’s alleged crime was not a sexual orientation toward children. It was his willingness to exploit the unequal power structures of gender and age to victimize young girls who couldn’t stand up to him. To understand Moore as a monster outside medical or societal norms is to ignore the ways that his position enabled him to take advantage of his alleged victims.

I'm waiting ro a meeting to start, so I thought I would share some info about Zimbabwe.
I continue to hope that true democracy will come to Zimbabwe and that it will recover into the multicultural thriving economy it once was in the 80s and 90s.

I hesitate to post this here, since I am a man. But if I don't I'm sure that some of you won't see this. It is very very much worth a read by all genders.

This net neutrality news is terrifying

This net neutrality news is terrifying. It means as extremists buy up the airwaves and internet companies, the information you learn from online sources could be blocked if they disagree with it politically. Very scared as to what it means for LPJ LEAGUE and all who fight for any kind of social justice.

PLEASE SHARE or JOIN if possible!
#FindGaia
As you may have heard on various news channels, we are now calling for EACH and EVERY one of you who possibly can to come to Swanage tomorrow (18/11) as of 12 Noon.
We will be line-searching as much of the rural area as we possibly can. It's time to Find Gaia.
As we are expecting a very large turnout, we are asking people to self-organise as much as possible. There will be 3 meeting points. Please pick one and park sensibly:
1) Durlston Country Park car park: BH19 2JL (South Swanage)
2) King George's Playing Field car park (main beach car park): BH19 1PW (Swanage town centre)
3) Day's Park car park: BH 19 1NN (North Swanage)
There will be at least one central organiser at each of these sites. We will have maps with a rough grid system. From there, we will be asking you to form long lines with approximately two feet between each person. We will then comb the area looking for any and every sign, clue, or piece of information we can find.
Due to the small number of volunteers organising this page, we will be unable to respond to individual transport queries. However, we strongly encourage those able to provide a lift or in need of one to post on the event page.
Remember to bring:
- Warm Clothes
- Sturdy Boots
- Water
- Hi-Viz if you have
Thank you all so much. You've helped more than can be possibly expressed. Tomorrow will be the MOST IMPORTANT day of volunteer search efforts yet. We hope to see you all there.
Let's go find Gaia.
Please share this post as far and wide as you can.

What Emily Wilson lets me think, but this is just the beginning, and it gets much worse

What Emily Wilson lets me think, but this is just the beginning, and it gets much worse.
“Now goddess, child of Zeus,
tell the old story for our modern times.
Find the beginning.”
That’s how the first stanza ends in Wilson’s new translation of The Odyssey. It begins by addressing another figure:
“Tell me about a complicated man.
Muse, tell me how he wandered and was lost
When he had wrecked the holy town of Troy,
and where he went, and who he met, the pain
he suffered in the storms at sea . . .”
Get to the origin, discover the source, find your way home. What is the cause of this pain, and how do you, Muse, Goddess, or mere poet, new translator, yet another interpreter, redeem the suffering of this man, who seems clever enough—cruel enough—to survive even our world, these modern times?
“He is more sensible than other humans,” Zeus says, we’re still in Book 1, when Athena accuses her father of forgetting Odysseus, leaving him to languish on the shore of Calypso’s island, begging to be unbound from the immortality she offers him. How is he more sensible, Zeus?
Because he wants to die. For that is what it means to refuse Calypso’s offer. Maybe he’ll get home if she equips him properly, maybe not. But if he leaves the island, he’ll die like every other human being, sooner or later.
That iis what he wants. How does this desire make him more sensible than the rest of us?

Chili recipe, to the best of my knowledge

Chili recipe, to the best of my knowledge. Call it memory.
Ingredients (of these I am not sure):
Olive oil--you'd start without it?
1 large onion
2 cloves garlic
2 lbs. ground beef (85% lean, otherwise you got rawhide)
3 28 oz. cans of tomatoes, one diced, otherwise whole
3 cans beans, two black, one kidney
1 bottle of beer, preferably a dark ale
1 glass of wine, a Pinot Noir if available
3 tbsp chili powder
2 tbsp cumin
1 tsp allspice
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp of every fucking thing else you got, cardamon, cinnamon, chocolate, cloves, oregano, coriander, paprika (both crucial), and while you do this read some Auerbach. Or the Bible. Or the Odyssey, as Emily Wilson renders it.
Just know that you might come to tears as you're cooking, whatever book you pick up, and then lean forward--not in--and add this watery salt from your own eyes to the food, maybe it will season what you're cooking.
Saute the onions and garlic until softened, add the ground beef, then think about what you want to be when you grow up because this step will determine the next one, or maybe ask this of yourself, am I an asshole already, and, if so, how would I remedy the situation?
I never got around to the last question. You?
Add the beans with their liquid, tomatoes, and spices, including the alcohol, and then relax. In two hours or so, you got something edible. Maybe.

There are two types of well-educated people, the ones who want you to know they went to Harvard or Oxford and the ones who want you to know they didn't. The former tend to be relaxed about their learning, the latter not so much. I'm not proud of it, but I am of the latter type, ever since a schmuck from Hopkins expressed amazement that I was intent on a degree from Northern Illinois University. That was in the Indiana State lLibrary, April of 1976. He was wearing a suit and tie; I was wearing a sweatshirt.
Now, the smartest people I've ever met never even got close to these august institutions and their educational ancillaries. They went elsewhere, into finance or carpentry or the military. They're mostly dead, or, if alive, mostly oblivious, drunkards and the like. You can't blame them for that unwanted condition.
But last night there I was surrounded by really well-educated people who were also incredibly smart, serving my perfect chili and wondering how I got here, into the middle of a conversation about every goddamn thing. Good friends over there, total strangers over here, now what?
Here's what. It was just fun. Never heard so much actual articulation, by which I mean, whoa, OK, here's what I really think. These new friends can think, let us not forget this fact. They will make you rethink, see where it goes.
Next up. Why the new translation of The Odyssey changes my mind about Erich Auerbach.
