All I'll say is this: if you want to move well until the day you die and avoid joint replacements in your early 40's, you need to use the lowest-risk, highest-return training techniques available to you. There's no reason to make it harder on your body than it has to be. In the first example, one could learn how to do a proper Swing in a single training session. But there are some people who will never learn how to do a proper Snatch as it takes years to approach mastery and the consequences of missing that lift could be catastrophic. In the second example, for some reason people think you need to jump around like an asshole to burn fat and get in good cardio shape. But you can get your heart rate up higher with 60 seconds of all-out battle rope work instead of 25 spastic Box Jumps and avoid massive joint impact forces and the risk of achilles rupture. In the third example, we actually have research that shows similar strength and muscle gain with Bulgarian Split Squats over Barbell Back Squats, with much less spinal loading and lower systemic loading requirements to get a quality training effect. Try 2 minutes of non-stop Bulgarian split squats and you'll get a better leg pump than you'd ever get with back squats. What happens if you reach muscular failure? You take a knee.
